Traffic is a little lighter and our beaches are a little quieter. This is our favorite time of the year! I hope that you have a chance this fall to enjoy the wonderful restaurants, beaches and shops that make the Bethany-Fenwick area such a special place.

The following information was recently sent to all Bethany Beach town residents and I thought it would be a handy reference and a good summary for clients and realtors:

Many areas in the Town of Bethany Beach are low lying and/or are located in Special Hazard Flood areas (SHFA) and are prone to flooding during storms and heavy rains.  Most areas lying north or Garfield Parkway (Route 26) and east of Route 1 are in coastal AE and AO zones. Properties fronting on the ocean may be in a Coastal V and/or AO zones.  Areas west of Route 1, specifically in Bethany West and Turtle Walk have recently been added to the SHFA and are in an AE zone.   If you are in a SHFA, you should know about

Wags, Witches and Warlocks Halloween Festival

As another summer comes to an end, preparations are being made for a fun event for families and pets in downtown Bethany Beach, DE. The Wags, Witches & Warlocks Halloween Parade will be held on October 24, 2015. It is sure to be a great day of fun for children, pets and participants of all ages. The event is more than just a way to celebrate Halloween, however, as proceeds raised will benefit the Sussex County S.P.C.A. 

Participants and pets will enjoy a costume parade, pumpkin painting, Halloween crafts, temporary tattoos, trick-or-treating at local businesses, fire safety from the Bethany Beach Fire Department, and
