Q3 Strong as Fenwick Island Sales Remain Firm
After a slower start to the year, the real estate market at the beach picked up nicely in the second quarter of 2019 and activity continued to be very strong through the third quarter. In fact, September was the fifth month in a row that new contracts out-paced the same month last year in Fenwick Island.
During the third quarter, 14 properties went under contract vs. 7 in 2018. Additionally, two oceanfront homes in Fenwick settled during the quarter and we had the fortunate opportunity to be involved in both sales. Prices continue to rise as inventory remains low (especially East of Rt One) and properties are selling faster, on average, than recent years.
